    It's not where you go it's what you do. Mona alum now 16 years. Now teaching in NYC, wouldn't trade my school for anything. Have made life long friends and yes there is an alumni. Check Facebook. There is a lot we can do and we just need to move forward with it.

    I was born and lived in Cockburn Pen until I immigrated to Boston Mass, USA in 1972. My father is the late Albert Myers and my mother is Enid Myers. She moved to Boston in 1968. I still remember going to Mr. Gordon's shop to buy sweetie.

    i'm pretty sure this "informal settlement" is what is nowadays called Majesty Gardens or more commonly called "Backtoo" in the old days - the squatter community built by the refugees of the bulldozing of Back-O-Wall/Dungle area (which became Tivoli Gardens)in the early 60's. this is PM Portia Simpson-Miller's constituency.
